The weather was perfect for our Woodlake Easter Egg hunt this past Saturday! The event ran from 3:00-6:00pm and the Woodlake Community came out in large numbers to attend. We kicked off the event with our "under 5" hunt at our beautiful pavilion. Eggs covered the grass as far as the eye could see! The children were so excited that the hunt was over in just a few minutes.
At approximately 3:30pm, the Easter Bunny arrived by golf cart to visit with our little friends; meanwhile, our older kids gathered by Kathy Moline, a volunteer, for their hunt. As soon as the hunt began, they darted around Tom Sawyer Island in search of eggs.
A few Sparkle Eggs were also hidden; these eggs entitled their finder to a extra special prize!
The kids kept busy decorating Easter cookies, coloring Easter pictures, and bouncing in our two new Moon Bounces. All of these activities were supported by our community volunteers. We were very fortunate to have a huge crew of volunteers for this event. There were about 28 in attendance and even more that helped before the event.
Thank you to Karen Kryfka for baking all of our cookies. Thank you to Annette Best and her neighbors in Rock Harbour for hard boiling and decorating 120 eggs. Thank you to Cindy McVey for providing the overview video below, and to Jim Waggoner for providing the photos. Thank you to all of our volunteers! We could not have done it without you.
If you would like to participate in our next event, Earth Day, on April 22 please email email@example.com to volunteer or for more information.
