We finally hit the jackpot: to end our summer season we had perfect weather for a weekend of fun!!!
We kicked off the weekend with our final Friday Cheers with awesome music from the Pat Russell Band. Our residents got down and enjoyed food from Good Doggie, as well as great conversations with neighbors and friends.
On Saturday morning, we started with the kid’s fishing contest, sponsored by Swift Creek Guide Services. Despite the very low water levels, our kids caught a ton of fish. We had over 50 kids fishing all around our pavilion area. Some of the little guys were lucky to catch their first fish!!! We had a great time with everyone and we hope to have this event keep growing.
Immediately following this event, we had our Kids and Kritters on Parade. There were patriotic pups and kids!! We even had a mouse join our parade. The creativity is amazing and we love the spirit of the neighborhood!! We hope that we can grow this event in the future.
We ended the night with our annual Labor Day Party!! The crowd really enjoyed Cedar Creek’s music. Our young residents had a special song played just for them!! Baby Shark!!! Our new Inflatable Park was a HUGE hit!! The lines were steady all night!! Members of our team, Daniel and Kris, had the kids racing and competing against their friends and parents!!
Of course, we ended the summer with a blast!! Residents lit up the pavilion with glow sticks and rings that were given out by staff. And then we lit up the sky with our amazing fireworks!! The night was perfect!
Labor Day Weekend continued with special fitness and pool events at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, including the popular Soda Dive, which had several happy participants. Even the adults got in on the action!
