Share0 SharesOff-Road Adventure with Terra Overland Date:      August 21 Location:  McGaheysville, VA 22840, USA.  We will meet you at Basecamp at the starting time in McGaheysville, VA 22840 on route 33.  (About 2 hours from Woodlake) Time:  9am (Need to leave Woodlake by 6:30am) Length of program:  4-hour jeep ride Description of trip and events: Private Flagpole to Reddish Knob Off-Road Adventure.   Join us on a unique, private and guided adventure throughout the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains in one of our State-of-the-Art Overland Jeep Rubicons in total comfort. Your host will be a Terra Overland off-road Adventure Guide who will chauffeur the vehicle, share knowledge about your adventure, answer questions, and provide off-road driving instruction* and techniques necessary to traverse the particular terrain of the Adventure you choose.  Not wheelchair accessible, service animals allowed, not recommended for travelers with back problems, not recommended for pregnant travelers, no one with heart problems or other serious medical conditions recommended and travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level.  Get ready to fall in love with Virginia and all of its wonders through the trails, history, and southern hospitality! We Practice the principles of Leave No Trace. Pack in, pack out; help keep outdoors safe, healthy, and beautiful.  Private Guided Adventure.  Trail Rating: Moderate Off-Road Trail.  Capacity: Seats up to 3 guests per Jeep.  (Capacity: Seats up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 minors-Jeep backseat has 3 seat belts.)  Cooler or refrigerator available / Rest stops per request.  This location is ONLY accessible in a high clearance 4×4 vehicle, is a necessity; the road is steep and rough year-round. This adventure is not for the faint of heart. This is off-roading! It’s a truly unique and challenging and thrilling adventure to the summit and upon arrival it does not disappoint! The summits surround you with views of the entire valley. You can clearly see Shenandoah National Park, Massanutten and West Virginia. This moderate rated trail and our skilled tour guide will teach you along the way. The summit is at the top of the Appalachian Mountains following the border between Virginia and West Virginia. This high elevation access route also brings the wildlife watcher into habitats not encountered by car or foot traffic.  Then leave and drive back home with a stop along the way to eat. Location: Appalachian Mountain Ridgeline in George Washington National Forest.  Elevation: 4390 ft above sea level. Cost:  $393.00 per group (up to 3 people).  Must be registered and paid with Jenny DeLorenzo by July 1.  No refunds for trip unless participation minimums are not met and availability of tickets at time of booking are sold out.   Must have a minimum of 6 people to book the trip.
