Portion of Bike Trail Open

The first bridge on the new bike trail from Chestnut Bluff to Rock Harbour is now complete and open to residents approaching from the Chestnut Bluff side. This bridge was the most complex and time-consuming to build, as it had to span a 30-foot section of wetlands with no in-ground supports in order to meet permit requirements.

Residents will not be able to walk through to Rock Harbour yet, but construction has begun on the 2nd bridge, and we will update you as progress is made. Until then, enjoy the new bridge and its built-in observation deck to stop and enjoy the natural scenery!
